USING A USB PORT WITH SOFTWARE WEDGE |

Question: My device has only a USB Port, How do I access that device using your Serial Wedge applications. Answer: You can use your USB Scale, Scanner or other Device Driver and if it creates a Virtual Serial port (COM1..COMx) then our applications will interface to that virtual serial port as if it was a true RS2342C port. This is ASSUMING your USB driver is well behaved and can create a virtual serial port. Try our free demo on your hardware in order to check compatibility. All of our Serial Wedge applications are designed for RS232C interfaces and do not support USB devices directly. |
